What to Expect at Selenite and Sound
-
Selenite is a calming white crystal often associated with clarity, peace, and energetic cleansing. The name comes from the Greek word for moon, reflecting its soft luminous appearance.
Selenite and Sound was chosen to represent a space of stillness, restoration, calm, and gentle renewal through sound and energy experiences.
-
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing immersive sound experience designed to support rest, calm, and nervous system restoration through sound and vibration. Crystal singing bowls, metal bowls, natural sounds, grounding frequencies, and intuitive instrumentation are used to create a soothing atmosphere for stillness, reflection, and renewal.
Participants remain comfortably resting throughout the experience while being gently guided through sound.
Guests rest on elevated cushioned mattress spaces complete with soft linens, pillows, bolsters, a heated or chilled eye mask, and grounding comfort elements designed to encourage ease and relaxation throughout the experience.
-
Selenite and Sound experiences are intentionally designed to feel immersive, restorative, and deeply supportive from the moment you arrive.
Unlike many traditional sound baths where participants rest on yoga mats or minimal floor cushioning while the practitioner remains primarily stationary, these experiences are thoughtfully curated to create a more elevated and multidimensional environment.
Guests rest on elevated cushioned mattress spaces complete with soft linens, pillows, bolsters, a heated or chilled eye mask, and grounding comfort elements designed to encourage ease and relaxation throughout the experience.
The experience concludes with a quiet integration period where guests may enjoy infused water, herbal tea, and light grounding bites thoughtfully prepared to support gentle transition and restoration following the sound experience.
Sound is offered both throughout the room and intuitively around participants using a variety of instruments, natural textures, and immersive sound elements to create a calming atmosphere that feels spacious, intentional, and supportive.
Every detail of the experience — from the pacing and atmosphere to the physical comfort of the space — is thoughtfully designed to support deep rest, nervous system relaxation, and gentle restoration.

IReiki is a traditional Japanese energy practice that supports relaxation, stress reduction, and overall energetic balance. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words: Rei, meaning “universal,” and Ki, meaning “life energy.”
During a Reiki session, the practitioner gently places their hands on or just above the body to support the body’s natural ability to restore balance and relaxation. Many people experience Reiki as calming, grounding, restorative, and deeply peaceful.
Reiki is not associated with any religion or belief system and does not require any particular spiritual practice to receive. It is often used as a complementary wellness practice alongside traditional medical and mental healthcare, not as a replacement for licensed medical treatment.
At Selenite and Sound, Reiki is offered through the traditional practice of Usui Reiki Ryoho and is approached with simplicity, presence, and respect for its Japanese roots and teachings.
-
Item descriptionYes. Reiki and sound sessions may also be experienced remotely through distance sessions conducted live via Google Meet.
Distance Reiki is a traditional practice within Usui Reiki Ryoho and is taught and practiced early within traditional Reiki training. Remote sessions are offered with the same intention, presence, and care as in-person experiences and are designed to support relaxation, energetic balance, nervous system restoration, emotional grounding, and rest from the comfort of your own environment.
Remote sessions may be especially supportive for individuals who:
are feeling unwell
have difficulty leaving home
live in rural or remote areas
travel frequently
maintain demanding schedules
prefer receiving support within the comfort and privacy of their own space
Guests are encouraged to prepare a quiet, comfortable environment where they may rest uninterrupted during the session. Headphones, earphones, or speakers may be used based on personal preference.
While remote experiences differ from the fully immersive in-person environment offered at Selenite and Sound, many guests find distance sessions deeply calming, restorative, and supportive.
For most sessions, a smartphone or computer with a camera and internet connection is recommended. However, upon special request, Reiki may also be offered fully remotely without video connection for individuals who do not have access to the necessary technology or who prefer an off-camera experience.
